What are voyeurs and what do they want from life?

What are voyeurs and what do they want from life?

Almost everyone has sexual habits they prefer to keep private. While going to the escorts or watching porn is encouraged and confessed in certain groups, other behaviours remain secret. Not because they would be legally punishable (at least, not in all countries), but because they have a low popularity. The same cannot be said about their frequency.

Whether it’s about using “strange” costumes, objects and places or engaging in atypical practices, those habits bring maximum pleasure to the lives of those who embrace them. Voyeurs are a good example, those individuals excited to watch naked bodies (sometimes from quite long distances) and satisfy themselves based on the obtained sensations, individuals who, definitely, don’t go around considering this tendency a reason or a favourite topic.

Since only shy people, ultraconservatives and frigid ladies cover their eyes when seeing someone naked, one might say that the entire population belongs to the category of nudity lovers. However, not everyone drooling in front of a body in all its glory, free from every clothing accessories, could be labelled as a genuine voyeur. This title only goes to individuals who show some essential features:

Premeditation. Although they also exploit favourable coincidences (the naked neighbour with the blinds raised), professional curious seek intentionally for their “victims”, plan their “attack” in detail and hunt situations surprising naked people or couples involved in possible intimate acts.

Great masters of this kind of “espionage”, they develop skills, routines but also protection mechanisms, learning over time how to avoid being discovered. Being observed in the bushes while they wait for something exciting, doesn’t quite excite them. But the danger of being caught, does.

The use of means that enable the act of watching. As naked people don’t simply walk on the street, or openly expose themselves while making love, observers have to identify them in specific areas for this kind of situations (usually the personal residence... which is equipped with promising windows). To get beyond them (only visually), seasoned veterans shall be equipped with binoculars or cameras; they develop extraordinary skills as hiding in the bushes, tree climbing, roof or fence climbing, watching the neighbours through various (and sometimes especially created) holes. Definitely, they might as well become professional detectives, for there are no major differences between the two jobs, except maybe... for the exacerbating of the senses part.

Violation of privacy as a substitute for sex. “Ordinary” people love nakedness, but it won’t do for them. They want tangible, real action. Unlike them, with an optimal dose of dirty views, voyeurs no longer need sex. Not with somebody else. They do it, usually, themselves, whether in real time (while enjoying visually their “target”), or later, reliving the exciting images in their memories. Their purpose is not to attract intimate partners, but to obtain the simple necessary framework for self-stimulation. For the “subjects” who ensure their orgasms exclusively by these means, we can already speak of some psychosexual disorder.

Self-control difficulty. Voyeurs feel the compulsive need to admire people getting undressed or involved in erotic actions. For them, even shops’ changing rooms become extremely tempting. They are like children fascinated by sweets in front of shelters full of chocolate or candies.

Apparently harmless and (mostly) represented by heterosexual men (women are rarely attracted by this kind of thing), they barely control the passion to defy the boundaries of privacy. Some of them do it for lack of love opportunities. Others for pleasure, curiosity or for having reached midlife crisis. Not to mention those who are perfectly represented by this lifestyle. Just like that...

As long as they remain grounded in reality, have “normal” contacts also and they aren’t strictly defined by this tendency, their uncommon habit doesn’t affect anyone. As long as they don’t get caught.
